RWS certifies the use of responsible wool from farms that meet animal welfare and sustainable land management requirements.

ALPACA BLEND MARK
Lanificio dell’Olivo is the licensee of the ALPACA BLEND MARK brand which guarantees the minimum content of 30% and the quality of the alpaca fiber in our yarns.
This brand is issued by the AIA (Associacion Internacional de la Alpaca), an association founded in 1984 in Arequipa (Peru) which was created to promote and protect the image of alpaca fiber and its derivatives through the diffusion of the ALPACA MARK.
GOTS
(Global Organic Textile Standards)
With this certification, we show the use of natural fibers from organic agriculture, with the aim of guaranteeing the consumer that the products are obtained in compliance with stringent environmental and social criteria applied at all levels of production up to the labeling of the finished product.
OCS
(Organic Blended Content Standard)
For our yarns, this standard certifies the presence, between 5% and 100%, of natural fibers from organic agriculture and guarantees their traceability along the entire production chain.
BCI
(Better Cotton Initiative)
We joined BCI in 2020 to strengthen our commitment to sustainable cotton production along the entire textile production chain.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibers are derived from sustainable wood sources, through an eco-responsible standards.
LENZING™ and ECOVERO™ are trademarks of Lenzing AG.
FSC
(Forest Stewardship Council)
The FSC brand identifies products containing wood and its derivatives, such as in our case the cellulose used for the production of viscose, coming from forests managed in a correct and responsible manner according to rigorous environmental, social and economic standards.
TENCEL™
The Lyocell fiber is produced with environmentally friendly processes starting from the wood used which comes from sustainable sources. Performance in terms of softness and wearability characterize this cellulosic fiber.

RCS
(Recycled Claim Standard)
The RCS standard enhances the use of recycled materials to favor a sustainable production model that aims to reduce the consumption of resources and certifies the presence for our yarns of pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled material from 5% to 100% and certifies traceability throughout the production process.
GRS
(Global Recycled Standard)
Certification that promotes responsible and sustainable development in the textile industry, enhances the importance of recycling textile waste and promotes the reduction of resource consumption, guarantees the traceability of recycled materials and the quantity present in the product.

Chemical Management 4sustainability®
The company applies the 4sustainability® Chemical Management Protocol to eliminate toxic substances from production processes through the MRSL ZDHC.
Antibacterial Treatment
On the yarns indicated with this mark, upon request, a treatment can be applied for a valid barrier against the proliferation of bacteria. In line with our attention to sustainability, we use a product approved by Oeko-Tex®, the garments that can be made with the treated yarns are wearable in contact with the skin, it is an APEO Free product and is over 70% Biodegradable. Its antibacterial efficacy is maintained even after numerous washes.

CID
(Consorzio Italiano Implementazione Detox)
The objective of the Consorzio, which we have joined in 2016, is to embark on a path towards the elimination of toxic substances, for man and the environment, from the fashion chain.

Higg Index Self Assessment
Higg Index measures environmental and social sustainability practices within the Company. This way every activity is always monitored and improvements tracked.

The care we put into creating our products is the same that guides us in carrying out actions to protect the environment and people. For this reason, years ago and among the first in the yarns industry, we developed the program GOING GREEN for Sustainable Fashion.
Going Green covers all the key areas of sustainability: Social Responsibility, Chemical Risk Management, Traceability, Environmental Sustainability and is based on concrete actions, such as the commitment to reduce the presence of harmful chemicals in fabrics and garments.
